The CinePearl Take
Shiraishi’s signature handheld camera work gives the film a documentary‑like urgency, while the ensemble cast—though uncredited—delivers raw, unflinching performances that anchor the narrative. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the tension of each sabotage mission to build before the inevitable, brutal fallout. At its heart, the movie explores the moral ambiguity of rebellion, asking whether the cost of freedom justifies the sacrifice of ordinary lives.
