Why Watch This
David Dhawan’s “Aankhen” delivers a nonstop roller‑coaster of slap‑stick humor and over‑the‑top action, anchored by the electric chemistry of Govinda and Chunky Pandey. The film’s absurd set‑pieces and witty one‑liners make it a perfect snapshot of early‑90s Bollywood comedy.
Best For
Fans of 90s Bollywood comedy, Govinda enthusiasts, Action‑comedy lovers, Nostalgic viewers, Kader Khan admirers
The CinePearl Take
Govinda’s razor‑sharp comic timing steals every scene, while Chunky Pandey provides a goofy counterbalance that keeps the laughs rolling. Kader Khan’s punchy dialogue delivery adds a layer of seasoned charm, and Dhawan’s brisk pacing prevents the absurd plot from feeling sluggish. Though the action is deliberately cartoonish, the film’s heart lies in its relentless optimism and its celebration of misfit heroes.
