The CinePearl Take

Ayouch’s debut is a masterclass in empathy, letting the kids speak for themselves while never slipping into sentimentality. Saïd Taghmaoui’s brief but powerful cameo anchors the narrative, and Mohamed Majd’s luminous portrayal of Ali Zaoua anchors the film’s emotional core. The deliberate, unhurried pacing lets the audience feel the harshness of the streets and the fragile beauty of the boys’ dreams.
