Why Watch This
All That We Never Were delivers a razor‑sharp look at the absurdities of a multigenerational Spanish family caught in the chaos of a tech‑obsessed future. Its off‑beat humor and unexpected twists keep the laughs fresh while subtly probing how tradition collides with modernity.
Best For
Comedy lovers, Spanish cinema fans, Indie film enthusiasts, Cultural satire seekers, Late‑night binge watchers
The CinePearl Take
The film’s breezy pacing is anchored by a standout turn from an unknown newcomer who steals every scene with dead‑pan timing. Director Marta López blends slapstick set‑pieces with a surprisingly tender undercurrent, making the chaos feel purposeful rather than gratuitous. Its commentary on digital overload feels both timely and oddly nostalgic, giving the comedy a depth that rewards repeat viewings.
