The CinePearl Take

Shreyas Talpade delivers a surprisingly nuanced performance as the conflicted revolutionary, grounding the film’s larger-than-life set pieces in human vulnerability. Roopa Iyer’s cameo as a resilient village matriarch adds a compelling layer of authenticity, while the pacing occasionally stumbles in the middle act, diluting the tension. Nonetheless, the film’s thematic focus on personal sacrifice versus collective freedom shines through, making it a worthwhile addition to contemporary historical dramas.
