Why Watch This

Baazi blends a classic 1960s Bollywood romance with a gritty underworld plot, giving you a taste of old‑school intrigue and song‑and‑dance spectacle. Dharmendra’s brooding hero and Waheeda Rehman’s nuanced performance anchor the film while comic relief from Johnny Walker and Keshto Mukherjee keeps the tone lively.

Best For

The CinePearl Take

Moni Bhattacharjee’s direction is steady, allowing the narrative’s twists to unfold without feeling rushed. Dharmendra delivers a surprisingly layered performance, balancing swagger with vulnerability, while Waheeda Rehman shines in moments of quiet emotional intensity. The supporting comic duo of Johnny Walker and Keshto Mukherjee injects levity that never undercuts the film’s darker beats, making Baazi a well‑rounded example of late‑60s commercial cinema.
