The CinePearl Take

De Sosa’s patient pacing allows the island’s landscapes to become characters in their own right, and the understated performance by newcomer Alba Marín—who plays a grieving photographer—anchors the film’s emotional core. The subtle interplay between silence and the sea’s roar amplifies the theme of humanity’s fragile relationship with nature. While the narrative occasionally drifts, its lyrical visual language compensates, making Balearic a thoughtful, if uneven, addition to contemporary eco‑drama.
