Why Watch This
"Bunker Heights" delivers a tongue‑in‑cheek take on post‑apocalyptic bunker life, mixing slap‑slap humor with gory set‑pieces. Its self‑aware script and off‑kilter visual gags keep the tone fresh even when the scares are intentionally cheesy.

The CinePearl Take
Director Drew Fortier leans into his horror roots while letting the comedy run wild, resulting in a film that feels like a love letter to 80s B‑movies. The pacing is deliberately uneven, which works when the absurd set‑pieces land but can drag during the quieter bunker scenes. Without a recognizable cast, the film relies on its inventive practical effects and the occasional deadpan performance to keep viewers engaged.
