The CinePearl Take
Kanawade’s debut is anchored by a quietly powerful performance from the film’s lead, whose nuanced expressions convey more than dialogue ever could. The pacing is deliberately measured, allowing the tension between yearning and restraint to build organically. Themes of identity, belonging, and the search for connection feel especially resonant in today’s climate, even if the narrative sometimes drifts into abstraction.
