Why Watch This
Chasing Summer captures the manic energy of a group of twenty‑somethings racing against the clock to squeeze one unforgettable summer into a single season. Its improvisational humor and sun‑drenched visuals make it a breezy escape from routine.
Best For
Comedy lovers, Coming‑of‑age fans, Road‑trip enthusiasts, Indie film buffs, Summer vibe seekers
The CinePearl Take
Decker’s signature handheld camera work gives the film a kinetic, almost documentary feel, letting the chaos of the characters’ escapades breathe. The breakout performance by newcomer Maya Lin as the impulsive leader grounds the absurdity with genuine heart. While the pacing sometimes sprints too fast, the thematic focus on fleeting youth and the fear of missing out resonates long after the credits roll.
