Why Watch This
Priyadarshan blends slap‑slap comedy with a sweet romance, letting Shahid Kapoor’s earnest charm play off Rajpal Yadav’s manic timing. The film’s premise—pretending to be deaf and mute for a government job—creates a cascade of misunderstandings that keep the laughs rolling.
Best For
Comedy lovers, Bollywood nostalgia fans, Family movie night, Fans of Priyadarshan, Light‑hearted rom‑com seekers, 2000s Hindi cinema enthusiasts
The CinePearl Take
While the plot feels like a patchwork of familiar Priyadarshan tropes, the ensemble elevates the material. Rajpal Yadav steals every scene with his exaggerated physicality, and Paresh Rawal adds a grounded, witty counterpoint. The pacing dips in the middle but picks up once the romance blossoms, making the film a breezy, if uneven, ride.
