The CinePearl Take
Director Lee Min‑ho crafts a moodier atmosphere than most genre entries, letting the landscape become a character in its own right. Veteran actor Kim Yong‑ho delivers a quietly magnetic turn as the enigmatic village elder, anchoring the film’s mythic stakes. While the pacing drifts at times, the deliberate tempo amplifies the sense of unease, and the final act’s thematic payoff about cultural memory feels both timely and timeless.
