The CinePearl Take

Joana Pimenta and Adirley Queirós co‑direct with a clinical precision that lets the landscape speak louder than any dialogue, turning barren plains into a character of their own. The film’s pacing oscillates between the methodical rhythm of documentary reportage and the tense spikes of a crime thriller, keeping viewers off‑balance in a purposeful way. While there are no marquee performances, the anonymous voices of locals deliver raw, unsettling testimonies that anchor the speculative elements in palpable reality.
