Why Watch This

Forest blends the mystique of Karnataka’s dense woodlands with a tongue‑in‑cheek crime caper, letting the audience wander between eerie folklore and laugh‑out‑loud moments. Chikkanna’s comic timing and Sharanya Shetty’s grounded performance anchor a story that’s as much about community secrets as it is about a heist gone sideways.

The CinePearl Take

Director Chandra Mohan crafts a visually rich canvas, letting the forest itself become a character that heightens both tension and humor. Sharanya Shetty delivers a surprisingly nuanced turn, balancing vulnerability with fierce resolve, while Chikkanna steals scenes with his slap‑stick bravado. The pacing oscillates cleverly—slow, atmospheric set‑ups give way to rapid, chaotic chase sequences—making the film feel like a roller‑coaster through the woods. Though the plot occasionally leans on familiar tropes, the ensemble’s chemistry keeps the journey engaging.
