Why Watch This

The film’s eerie sound design and vivid color palette turn a simple breadcrumb trail into an atmospheric journey through mythic landscapes.
Best For
Animation lovers, Fairy‑tale fans, Indie film enthusiasts, Latin American cinema buffs, Experimental storytellers
The CinePearl Take
Cociña’s direction is a masterclass in pacing; the story unfolds slowly enough to let each surreal tableau breathe, yet never feels stagnant. The voice work—particularly the whisper‑like performance of the titular witch—adds a chilling intimacy that anchors the visual extravagance. At its core, the film explores the tension between innocence and the unknown, making the familiar feel unsettlingly fresh.
