The CinePearl Take
Magoko’s patient, observational style lets the audience sit beside her on dusty roads and bustling markets, creating a rhythm that feels both meditative and urgent. The film’s strongest moments come from the intergenerational testimonies, where elders recount oral histories that contrast sharply with the modern footage. While the pacing can be deliberate, it serves the theme of searching—each pause feels like a breath before a new revelation.
