Why Watch This
Innocent delivers a breezy, slice‑of‑life comedy that mines the absurdities of small‑town bureaucracy with razor‑sharp wit. Althaf Salim’s dead‑pan charm and Joemon Jyothir’s manic energy make the film’s central duo feel instantly relatable and endlessly entertaining.

The CinePearl Take
Satheesh Thanvi’s direction balances a loose, improvisational feel with tight comic timing, keeping the narrative brisk without sacrificing heart. Salim’s understated performance as the well‑meaning clerk anchors the film, while Jyothir’s over‑the‑top antics provide the perfect counterpoint. The theme of “innocence” is explored not just as naivety but as a deliberate choice to stay kind in a cynical world, giving the comedy an unexpected emotional layer.
