The CinePearl Take

Even without a marquee cast, the film leans on strong ensemble work, especially the subtle turn by the lead actress who conveys yearning with a single glance. The pacing is deliberately unhurried, allowing the snow‑covered streets of Benidorm to become a character in their own right. Coixet explores themes of displacement and the paradox of warmth in cold, making the film a meditative study rather than a plot‑driven narrative. While the narrative may feel sparse, its visual poetry rewards patient viewers.
