The CinePearl Take
Masumoto’s most charming asset is the lead—played with a shy, earnest vulnerability that anchors the film’s more fantastical set‑pieces. The pacing drifts like a lazy river, allowing the audience to linger on each sun‑drenched tableau before the story nudges forward. Themes of nostalgia and the thin line between memory and imagination are explored with a gentle, almost lyrical touch, making the film feel like a nostalgic postcard you can watch.
