The CinePearl Take

Manjule’s direction balances raw street‑level texture with moments of lyrical grace, letting the football field become a stage for larger societal commentary. Bachchan delivers a restrained performance that feels more like a mentor than a star, allowing the young leads—Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru—to carry the emotional weight. The pacing is deliberate, giving each character’s backstory room to breathe while the team’s gradual cohesion feels earnestly earned.
