The CinePearl Take
Director Nicolas Athané (with co‑director Marco Nguyen) crafts a kaleidoscopic world that feels both intimate and wildly fantastical. The film’s pacing mirrors Jim’s erratic quest, alternating between frenetic chase sequences and tender, character‑driven moments. While the voice cast remains a mystery, the animation itself delivers standout performances—especially the fluid, expressive design of the titular hero. Its core theme—embracing identity in a chaotic world—resonates long after the credits roll.
