Why Watch This
Joachim Schroeder’s “Kill Me Today, Tomorrow I’m Sick!” twists the bleakness of suicidal contemplation into a sharp, absurdist comedy that never lets you settle into a single mood. Its unapologetic blend of dark humor and raw drama makes for an oddly cathartic ride that sticks with you long after the credits roll.
Best For
Dark comedy fans, Indie film lovers, Fans of German cinema, Quirky drama enthusiasts, Mood‑lifting melancholy seekers
The CinePearl Take
Schroeder’s direction is deliberately off‑kilter, letting the narrative wobble between frantic desperation and deadpan absurdity. The unnamed lead delivers a hauntingly deadpan performance that anchors the film’s chaotic tone, while the supporting cast adds flashes of manic energy. Pacing is intentionally uneven, mirroring the protagonist’s unstable mental state, and the recurring motif of illness becomes a darkly comic metaphor for emotional decay.
