The CinePearl Take
Sakudō’s direction is precise, letting the film’s deliberate pacing amplify the protagonist’s gradual loss of self. The lone performance by an unnamed lead—delivered with a quiet, aching restraint—anchors the abstract premise in raw human emotion. Themes of consent, nostalgia, and the ethics of memory manipulation are explored without resorting to cheap thrills, making the film linger long after the credits roll.
