The CinePearl Take
Director Shirel Peleg delivers a breezy pace that never lets the jokes or the romance feel forced, letting the chemistry between the leads shine. The performance of the Palestinian lead—quiet, earnest, and surprisingly comedic—grounds the film’s more flamboyant moments. While the plot follows familiar rom‑com beats, the film’s exploration of identity, family expectations, and political tension adds a layer of depth that elevates it beyond pure fluff.
