The CinePearl Take
Fukuda’s direction keeps the pacing manic, never allowing a joke to linger too long, which sustains the film’s high‑energy rhythm. The lead’s deadpan delivery—balancing cluelessness with moments of genuine vulnerability—anchors the chaos and makes the character oddly relatable. While the plot is deliberately thin, the relentless visual gags and clever set‑piece callbacks reward attentive viewers. Ultimately, the movie shines as a love letter to the ridiculousness of adult responsibility.
