The CinePearl Take
The unnamed lead delivers a nuanced, wordless performance that conveys grief and yearning, anchoring the film’s abstract storytelling. Lages’ deliberate pacing mirrors the protagonist’s fragmented recollections, turning each lingering shot into a meditation on what’s forgotten. The recurring water motif serves as a visual metaphor for erasure, binding the poetic imagery into a quiet yet powerful meditation on identity.
