The CinePearl Take
Director Pedro Freire crafts a slow‑burning atmosphere that feels both claustrophobic and expansive, letting the scenery speak as loudly as dialogue. The breakout performance by the newcomer playing Malu anchors the film—her subtle gestures convey a lifetime of unspoken trauma. While the pacing may test patience, it rewards viewers with a nuanced meditation on memory, loss, and the price of silence.
