The CinePearl Take
Arregi’s debut shines most in its visual poetry—the golden dunes become a character in their own right, mirroring the protagonists’ shifting identities. The lead performance, delivered by a fresh face whose raw vulnerability anchors the film, is a standout, turning what could have been a breezy romance into a resonant study of self‑acceptance. While the pacing occasionally drifts like a lazy tide, the film’s heartfelt moments keep the narrative buoyant, making it a memorable addition to contemporary queer cinema.
