The CinePearl Take
Higashi’s patient pacing allows the narrative to unfold like a perfume’s top notes, lingering long enough to let the emotional residue settle. The lead performance—delivered with quiet intensity—captures the ache of trying to hold onto a love that has already evaporated. Themes of grief, identity, and the way the smallest smells can resurrect whole lives are explored with both restraint and poetic boldness.
