The CinePearl Take

Rajiv Rai’s direction leans into glossy spectacle while never losing the film’s pulse‑pounding rhythm, making the first half a roller‑coaster of set‑piece set‑ups. Akshay Kumar shines as the cocky yet charismatic lead, proving why he became a staple of the era’s action blockbusters. Sunil Shetty’s villainous turn is surprisingly layered, giving the film a tension that sustains its momentum beyond the chase scenes. Though the plot occasionally surrenders to melodramatic shortcuts, the kinetic energy and charismatic cast keep you hooked.
