The CinePearl Take
Takahara’s direction is unapologetically bold, using kaleidoscopic lighting and claustrophobic set‑pieces to mirror the characters’ inner turmoil. While the cast is unknown, the ensemble delivers a raw, unsettling chemistry that anchors the film’s fragmented storytelling. The pacing drifts between slow‑burn tension and sudden bursts of violence, underscoring the theme of hidden desire versus societal repression. It isn’t an easy watch, but its artistic ambition rewards viewers who appreciate cinema that challenges and unsettles.
