The CinePearl Take
Sharmila Tagore delivers a nuanced performance as a principled editor battling censorship, while Om Puri’s understated menace adds a chilling layer to the film’s antagonists. Romesh Sharma’s direction keeps the narrative brisk, moving from newsroom corridors to street protests without losing focus. The central theme—truth versus power—remains unsettlingly relevant, making the film feel less like a relic and more like a warning.
