Its stark, handheld cinematography and unflinching social commentary make it a gripping, thought‑provoking experience.

The CinePearl Take
Michel Franco’s direction is relentless, letting tension build through claustrophobic close‑ups and a bleak color palette. Luis Gerardo Méndez delivers a chillingly detached performance as the affluent groom, embodying the complacency that fuels the chaos. The film’s pacing never lets you breathe, mirroring the escalating panic of a society on the brink. Its unsettling themes linger long after the credits roll.
