The CinePearl Take
Director Ryūta Tasaki injects the film with a kinetic energy that feels both retro and refreshingly modern, letting the practical suit work shine amid CGI set‑pieces. The pacing is relentless, but it never sacrifices character moments—particularly the earnest, wide‑eyed rookie played by newcomer Yūki Tanaka, whose growth anchors the chaos. Themes of sacrifice and rebirth resonate through the TegaSword’s lore, giving the spectacle emotional weight without sacrificing fun.
