The CinePearl Take

Director Arjun Menon delivers a tight, 110‑minute narrative that never lets the tension slack, while newcomer Rahul Nair shines as the titular “Ponman”, embodying both vulnerability and quiet resolve. The film’s pacing is relentless yet purposeful, allowing its exploration of climate‑driven migration to breathe without feeling didactic. The recurring motif of water as both a life‑giver and a threat adds a lyrical undercurrent that lingers long after the credits roll.
