Why Watch This
Ekrem Engizek’s “Prison” plunges you into a claustrophobic, high‑tech detention center where every hallway feels like a psychological maze. The film’s stark visual palette and relentless tension keep you guessing about who’s really behind the walls.
Best For
Thriller fans, Dystopia lovers, Tech‑noir enthusiasts, Psychological drama seekers, Social‑commentary watchers
The CinePearl Take
Engizek delivers a tightly wound narrative that never lets the suspense breathe, using tight close‑ups to amplify the inmates’ paranoia. The lead—an unheralded actor who plays a disgraced tech CEO—anchors the film with a surprisingly nuanced performance, balancing cold calculation with flickers of remorse. While the pacing is relentless, the occasional pause lets the film’s central theme—how surveillance reshapes humanity—resonate powerfully.
