Why Watch This
Set against the brooding backdrop of Kerala’s dense forest, Pulimada blends claustrophobic suspense with a haunting look at how greed can turn nature into a killing field. Joju George delivers a raw, unflinching performance that anchors the film’s relentless cat‑and‑mouse chase.
Best For
Thriller fans, Malayalam cinema lovers, Forest‑mystery enthusiasts, Fans of A. K. Sajan, Dark‑drama seekers
The CinePearl Take
Sajan’s direction keeps the tension taut, never allowing a breath to linger long enough for complacency. Joju George’s gritty portrayal of a haunted ranger is the film’s beating heart, while the supporting cast adds unsettling layers of suspicion. The pacing is deliberately uneven, mirroring the unpredictable terrain, and the theme—human avarice versus the indifferent wild—remains resonant long after the credits roll.
