Why Watch This
Isaac Florentine showcases the French combat art of savate with gritty, no‑frills fight sequences that feel oddly authentic for a 1990s B‑movie. Olivier Gruner’s muscular presence and dead‑pan charisma give the thin plot a pulse of old‑school action energy.
Best For
Martial‑arts fans, 90s action lovers, B‑movie enthusiasts, Nostalgic viewers, Fans of Olivier Gruner
The CinePearl Take
Florentine’s direction leans heavily on kinetic choreography, letting the fights speak louder than the dialogue. Gruner delivers a solid, muscle‑bound performance that anchors the film’s otherwise scattered storyline. Supporting turns from Rance Howard and R. Lee Ermey add a surprising dose of grit, while the pacing drifts in the second act, making the climax feel both inevitable and uneven.
