The CinePearl Take

Christopher Landon’s direction keeps the chaos moving at a breakneck pace, though the script occasionally stumbles under its own absurdity. Zale Kessler and Elle Evans shine as the reluctant leaders, delivering just enough earnestness to anchor the mayhem. The film’s biggest strength is its commitment to goofy set‑pieces—think scout‑troop tactics against flesh‑eating hordes—while the underlying theme of friendship gives the zombie carnage a warm, if fleeting, emotional core.
