Why Watch This
Skinny Boots delivers a delightfully off‑beat slice of Canadian humor in a compact 15‑minute package. Director Romain F. Dubois packs visual gags and a surprisingly tender commentary on everyday absurdities into every frame, making it a perfect bite‑size laugh.
Best For
Indie comedy fans, Short film enthusiasts, Canadian cinema lovers, Quirky humor seekers, Festival goers
The CinePearl Take
Dubois’ direction shines through a brisk, almost manic pacing that never lets the jokes linger too long, keeping the energy high from start to finish. While the cast remains unnamed, the lead’s dead‑pan delivery anchors the chaos, turning a series of sketches into a cohesive narrative. The film’s underlying theme—finding confidence in the most unlikely footwear—adds a surprisingly warm undercurrent to the comedy.
