Why Watch This
Vanessa Lapa stitches together never‑seen wartime reels and post‑war Hollywood correspondence to reveal how Albert Speer tried to rewrite his own legacy on the silver screen. The film offers a chilling look at the mechanics of propaganda and the uneasy partnership between a former Nazi and the American film industry.

The CinePearl Take
Lapa’s razor‑sharp editing lets the archival footage speak for itself, letting Speer’s own voice narrate his self‑justifications while the Hollywood side‑bars crackle with opportunism. The pacing is deliberately measured, giving viewers time to absorb the moral weight of each revelation. The central theme—how myths are manufactured after catastrophe—remains unsettlingly relevant.
