The CinePearl Take
Ed Herzog’s direction leans into absurdity without sacrificing suspense, making the chaotic fish‑smuggling plot oddly compelling. While the cast is largely unknown, newcomer Lukas Gruber delivers a surprisingly nuanced performance as the reluctant courier. The pacing drifts in the first hour but picks up dramatically once the heist goes sideways, highlighting themes of loyalty and the cost of greed.
