The CinePearl Take
Alia Bhatt’s breakout performance shines, delivering a nuanced blend of charm and vulnerability that anchors the film’s emotional core. The pacing jumps between glossy musical set‑pieces and quieter, character‑driven scenes, sometimes feeling uneven but never losing its breezy momentum. Ultimately, the film’s willingness to foreground a same‑sex love story within a mainstream Bollywood framework makes it a noteworthy, if imperfect, milestone.
