Why Watch This
Takeover skewers the absurdity of corporate power‑plays with a razor‑sharp, low‑budget comedy that feels more like a live‑wired improv night than a polished studio product. Its rapid‑fire dialogue and deadpan delivery make the mundane office setting surprisingly electrifying.

The CinePearl Take
Florian Ross’s direction leans into the chaos, letting the camera linger just long enough for awkward silences to become punchlines. The breakout performance comes from the film’s unnamed “middle‑manager” protagonist, whose deadpan delivery anchors the ensemble’s manic energy. While the pacing occasionally stumbles in the third act, the film’s thematic focus on ambition versus authenticity keeps the laughs grounded in real‑world tension.
