The CinePearl Take
Delaporte’s direction balances a breezy comedic rhythm with moments of genuine pathos, allowing the film to breathe without losing its punch. The lead actor—though uncredited in the press kit—delivers a subtly layered performance that anchors the film’s emotional core. The pacing feels deliberately unhurried, mirroring the protagonist’s own journey toward self‑discovery. Themes of regret, friendship, and the promise of a fresh start resonate long after the credits roll.
