The CinePearl Take
Graizer balances melancholy and hope with a measured pace that lets the pastries and silences speak louder than dialogue. Tim Kalkhof delivers a restrained, heartbreaking performance as Thomas, while Roi Miller brings a raw, earnest energy to David. The film’s use of baking as a metaphor for connection feels both poetic and grounded, making the inevitable revelations all the more affecting.
