The CinePearl Take
Omoni Oboli delivers a grounded performance that anchors the film’s more fantastical moments, while Kunle Afolayan’s direction balances slow‑burn tension with sudden, jolting scares. The pacing may feel deliberate, but it mirrors the creeping dread of the curse itself, and the theme of belief versus skepticism feels surprisingly resonant in today’s skeptical world.
