The CinePearl Take

Derek Nguyen’s deliberate pacing allows the tension to seep in like a slow tide, letting the house’s secret rooms breathe as metaphors for suppressed histories. Phi Phụng anchors the film with a subtly terrified housemaid whose every glance hints at unseen forces, while Kate Nhung delivers a sharp, memorable counterpoint in her brief but potent scenes. The visual language is striking, though the narrative occasionally drifts, the thematic ambition and atmospheric design keep the experience compelling.
