Why Watch This
Louis Paxton’s “The Incomer” turns the classic fish‑out‑of‑water trope into a fresh, laugh‑out‑loud romp about a data analyst forced to start over in a quirky Midwestern town. Its razor‑sharp dialogue and absurd set‑pieces keep the humor grounded while the stakes feel surprisingly heartfelt.
Best For
Comedy fans, Fish‑out‑of‑water lovers, Indie film enthusiasts, Quirky character comedy, Small‑town drama fans
The CinePearl Take
Paxton proves his timing is impeccable, letting jokes land before the audience even expects them. The lead—an emerging talent playing Milo Greene—delivers a delightfully awkward performance that anchors the chaos with genuine vulnerability. The film’s brisk pacing never lets the humor stall, while its underlying theme of belonging gives the laughs an unexpected emotional weight.
