The CinePearl Take

Zaradasht Ahmed’s patient pacing lets the landscape breathe, turning the river itself into a silent narrator. The most compelling moments come from the candid testimonies of Kurdish shepherds who have learned to coexist with the lions, revealing a fragile partnership that feels both hopeful and precarious. While the film occasionally lingers on sweeping vistas, its emotional core remains anchored in the resilient spirit of both the animals and the people protecting them.
